The FTH have asked me to come back and do another one man show as the last one went so well. The Date will be the 6th November but don't worry, I'll be doing some other stuff before then so keep an eye out and check out my site for more news.
Hurrah!
Thank you to everyone who came tonight to the FTH and sorry to those who couldn't get in. I heard a few of you were stuck outside. What a night! The first half was slightly muted but the second half was super and my clips of the Falkirk Wheel laser was a favourite bit.
Watch out for more gigs and promo for Kirkland Ciccone's Moany Pony EP on iTunes!

So I'm getting ready for my wee history lesson on Thursday at the FTH. It's going to be my last one so I can concentrate on my other little performances. But hopefully it's going to be funny and informative. I've been very busy with this of late and the sheer work that I go through (researching) is quite time consuming and I've already had to put back recording of Kirkland Ciccone's Moany Pony EP to get it done but you'll hear that eventually. We Hate Guys Called Harry is on it. That's a protest song against the terrible treatment that Harry Potter lookalikes have to endure. A new one called Making The Glasgow Scene and Kevin Ciccone & The Drug Storm is there too. It's all very indie and funny. I hope!
So if you are in Falkirk on Thursday night then pop over to the FTH and see me. I've might be doing a little set in The Den (cool venue in Falkirk) on December 14th to promote Kirkland Ciccone's Moany Pony. We'll see though!
My next one man show is tentatively called Forty Annoying F**kers and I'll basically count down a list of horrible people who I feel have contributed to the ruination of everything.

A Secret History Of Falkirk is coming very soon. Then it's Kirkland Ciccone's Moany Pony. I'm so busy which is good given we're in a credit crunch. It'll be good to get November over with though!
Come and see me on Nov 6th at the FTH (upstairs) to give a warped history lesson on the wee town of Falkirk. It'll be hilarious I promise. I've even investigated UFOs in Bonnybridge.

I've been totally tardy at updates recently but there are good reasons for this. I've been very busy getting stuff done for myself! I've got loads to tell you all. First thing is first - Kirkland Ciccone's Moany Pony EP is nearly recorded. I've been booking different studios and tramping about and getting the best out of all of them. It keeps people on their feet and I like travelling. However, last week a milk delivery van smashed into the back of a bus I was on and propelled my butt onto the floor. Yes, a few months after crushing my foot I now have mild whiplash. Ha! But not even this can stop me fulfilling my destiny. I've got footage of the aftermath of the crash thanks to my handy little camcorder. However this is nothing compared to what happened next...
As you know I've got two main events in the next few months. I've got my spoof history lecture in Falkirk at the FTH (if you live in the Falkirk/Stirling area you can get an FTH brochure and see my pale face in it) and whilst strolling with my handy camcorder I was witness to a bomb scare incident in Falkirk. I'm talking army men going into a block with the police and an explosives van sitting there. I got this on my wee handy camcorder. How handy is that handy camcorder? I'm going to show it to the audience at my gig in November.
I've had my pictures taken (you can see me choking on a disgusting burger at the Yorke Cafe in Falkirk - the York Cafe was a bit of a local institution until it was taken over. If I had alphabet soup from there now, I'd probably spell out 'YUCK') for my poster and that's why I am wearing my jazzy jumper. Or one of my many jazzy items. I went to The Den with my friend and had a great time afterwards. The Den is a cool little venue in Falkirk and the staff are so nice and put up with my demands for cake so well. I'll be there more than the furniture now. I got a Stylophone yesterday and am going to bang out some funny little tunes on it.
My EP will have new versions of familiar stories plus a few little surprises including a DIY Pop track called Stop Calling Me Harry Potter. It's so good I'm quite surprised to be honest. It needs to be mixed etc. I'll do a wee gig in November in Falkirk to drum up some attention for A Secret History Of Falkirk as well as Kirkland Ciccone's Moany Pony then head to Glasgow. I am also on the verge on securing a venue for a pop music club night in Glasgow but more on that when I get an email. I've always wanted a club night. Just a small one. A bitty one.
I'm off to the archives tomorrow for some work on my little history lesson. I was there the other day and one of the women recognised me - yes, it's diffcult dealing with my minor celebrity status on the Scottish arts scene but I wear it well I think. Now since I am not uploading my new unmixed material quite yet, I've reuploaded What Is Love? which was one of the first recordings I made and you can tell because my voice is weird at the beginning. Well it always is anyway but you know what I mean. What Is Love? has actually changed as well but you can hear the old version. Until then folks here are some things for you to check out:
www.myspace.com/popart1 - Ben is something of a friend of mine and his stuff is brilliant.
Late Of The Pier - their new album is amazing. Really amazing.
Annie - a popstar I adore whose new single flopped.
Theoretical Girl - one day she will get an album to me! One day!
Penny Broadhurst - Her album will be fab too.
Girls Aloud - The X Factor is so much better with Cheryl isn't it? And Girls Aloud are going to perform their new single on it. Hurrah!

I'm getting an early interview with the Falkirk Herald for A Secret History Of Falkirk in the next week or so which means a wider audience will get to see the wonderful promo photographs that were taken of me last week. I look rather cool in them. The others are getting too old now. Me at my grumpy party needs to be replaced by me...somewhere else. I won't say yet. There will be some more information on my forthcoming Kirkland Ciccone's Moany Pony mini-album in that interview, with luck. The demos are a bit scratchy but that will be eradicated when I'm in the studio properly and that happens at the end of this month. I've booked time in a Glasgow recording studio for a few spoken word and diy-pop tracks. I'm too busy to do much else because of these two things. I want to do a few little gigs to promote Moany Pony.
A new version of Emo Boy will be on it. Stop Calling Me Harry Potter will be on it because I love it. The Goblin Queen Of Channel Four should be on it. I'm obsessed with trash culture and I hate it at once. How schizo of me!
